Home!

We spent the morning in the hospital while they waited for Kate's blood pressure to come back up. Finally around 11am they were satisfied that it was strong enough to send us home. She hasn't had any nausea or dizziness and is pretty stable getting around with a little assistance. Unfortunately the pain is still pretty persistent. I think we figured out that the prayer for the nerve blockers yesterday worked, because sadly it seems they have worn off. The pain across the pectoral muscles in her chest is worse than she initially had yesterday. They sent us home with some pretty powerful painkillers which are helping manage the pain, but they don't seem to last long enough.

There were several beautiful bouquets of flowers waiting for her when we got home. She's enjoying them from the comfort of the recliner that she bought on the advice of doctors. It's more conducive for recuperation than the bed and probably where she'll spend most of her time the next few weeks. However, Kate is not a fan of recliners - aesthetically. She swears this one won't be staying long, but desperate times call for desperate measures!

She appreciates reading the text messages everyone has sent and comments left here on the site. Thanks for following along and for your prayers and words of encouragement!
